New Tool Allows the Assessment of Judges Salaries Nationwide

The National Center for State Courts recently made available their “Judicial Salary Tracker”, which allows the public to find out the salaries of their Local and State justices:

“The Survey of Judicial Salaries, published for over 40 years by the National Center for State Courts (NCSC) with the support of state court administrative offices across the United States, serves as the primary record of compensation for state judicial officers and state court administrators.”

The tool makes use of data collected from around the country since 1974, comparing actual salaries with adjusted salaries. Adjusted salaries consider the cost of living in the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The income and finances of State Justices has recently become an item of interest after all of West Virginia’s Supreme Court justices were impeached due to abuses of office by overspending. You can read about that story HERE.
